Getting a 99% approval rating from your employees is no mean feat. American chief executive officers (CEOs) Bob Bechek of management consulting firm Bain and Co., Scott Scherr of Ultimate Software and Dominic Barton of Mckinsey and Co. have achieved this to become the top three highest rated CEOs, in that order, according to the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards announced last week. Recruiting and jobs website Glassdoor ranked the 50 CEOs that got rave reviews from their staff. Glassdoor’s rankings are based on feedback employees shared via the Glassdoor company review survey between 2 May 2015 and 1 May 2016. The company then applied a proprietary algorithm that considered the quality, quantity and consistency of reviews to determine the final rankings.

Tech CEOs are at the top of the heap, with 15 tech CEOs out of the total 50. They include Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg at number 4 with 97% employees approving him and LinkedIn’s Jeff Weiner (number 5). 96% employees approved Google’s Indian-born Sundar Pichai and Apple’s Tim Cook putting them at number 7 and 8, respectively, while Adobe’s Shantanu Narayen, with a 95% approval, is at number 20.
Other notable mentions among the top 50 highest-rated CEOs list include CEOs from Salesforce (6th), Johnson and Johnson (16th), Goldman Sachs (33rd), and Costco Wholesale (46th).
