Japan’s Honda Motor says its new small jet has been flown for the first time. It was developed in the United States.
The company is planning to deliver the first jet next year.
The aircraft has engines on top of its main wings, and can carry up to 6 people.
Honda says the first jet off the production line was flown in North Carolina on Friday.
The company says it has confirmed that the plane functioned properly.
Honda says it has so far received orders for more than 100 jets from the US and Europe.
It plans to start delivering the aircraft to customers after obtaining a certificate from the US Federal Aviation Authority.
